Jalalabad scored 35 runs all out in 10 out of 20 overs. BSS won by 8 wickets in 7 overs.

2nd Match:

Jalalabad scored 104 runs all out in 17 out of 20 overs. BSS scored 79 in 4 wickets and was finished due to shortage of time.

One Memorable Cricket Match During Easter Vacation

Bangladesh SOC Nottingham University played a cricket match with Jalalabad-11 of Nottingham city on Sunday 8th of April 2007 . The match was started at 1 pm and ended around 6 pm. It was 20 overs[each side] game. Bangladesh SOC won that match by scoring 135 runs where the opposition score was 74 . We won the match by 61 runs. Our students showed extra-ordinary performance in this match. At first Rozen, Hassan, Hasbi[youngest player] and Baqui have shown good performance in batting and helped us to get a competetive score of 135. Later, our bowlers Mahboob, Rabiul, Hassan and Rozen put very good effort and restricted the opposition team at a score of 74 runs and helped us to achieve the victory.

On 16th december 2006, we have celebrated our "Bijoy Dibosh[Victory Day]" in colaboration with Jalaalabad Bangladeshi Cultural and Welfare Society. Where our society members performed cultural activites. Such as patriotic song sang by Armeen Musa[Cultural Secretary] ,speech had given by President of SOC Dr. Q. Baqui. A band named "Till Human Voice as Awake us" performed by Hasbi Ahsan[Bangladeshi student], Simon and Sam[British student] in this ocasion. the function was conducted by Mahboob Rabbi and Nousheen[members of the society].
